Frutiger Metro

Combining the Frutiger typeface family (named after designer Adrian Frutiger) with Microsoft's Metro design language of Windows 8.

1(aesthetic) An aesthetic characterized by flat vector graphics, abstract shapes and flourishes, human silhouettes, and music-themed elements like speakers; blending the glossy stylization of its predecessor Frutiger Aero with Microsoft's flat Metro UI (Windows 8) for energetic, youth-focused branding on CDs, video games, and tech advertisements. This aesthetic originated in the late 2000s and early 2010s, when it featured prominently in media, but it gained a cult following in the 2020s.
